The Baltimore brass were just not satisfied with the progress of Daniel Cabrera and Adam Loewen.  It didn't occur to them that Cabrera and Loewen may just stink.

For 2007, Lofgren was rated the No. 15 prospect in the Double-A Eastern League. He has a plus fastball and he is thought to be one of the top five lefthanders in the minor leagues.

Lofgren attended the same high school as Barry Bonds.

It is likely Chuck Lofgren will start 2008 in the minors but it would not be a complete suprise to see him in Cleveland's rotation by the end of the season.
